Our Story

What is Lookatlove?

Indonesia has a high literacy rate of around 96% but many students struggle with functional literacy, such as comprehension and access to education. Despite being able to read and write, a large percentage of Indonesian lack the skills to analyze and understand texts deeply.

This gap highlights the need for LookAtLove, a non-profit organisation (NPO) dedicated to uplifting literacy in Indonesia. By addressing these literacy challenges, Lookatlove empowers individuals with knowledge and confidence needed for personal and societal growth.

Aims of Lookatlove

LookAtLove is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving literacy and education in Indonesia. While the country has a high literacy rate, many students still struggle with comprehension, critical thinking, and access to quality education.

When & How was Lookatlove Built?

Look at Love Indonesia was founded on March 28, 2025, by Adeline Venice Tardy, a 14-year-old changemaker driven by the belief that education is a fundamental right, not a privilege. The idea emerged from her realization that literacy—the ability to read, write, and access education—is the foundation of opportunity, independence, and long-term social change.

Recognizing the educational disparities faced by many communities across Indonesia, Adeline created Look at Love Indonesia as a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting literacy and fostering a love for learning. Built on the principle that love must be translated into action, the organization empowers young minds through education and proves that meaningful impact can begin at any age.
